The 2011 – 12 Student Travel season has come to an end after a busy year on the road. This was just an amazing season with my many returning teachers as well as new schools. Together, we saw this wonderful country on trips to Washington, DC, New York City and even San Francisco, California.
For me, there is nothing more gratifying than to wind down a student educational tour travel season (this now being my 24th) with so many fun memories of the great teachers and kids I’ve traveled with. It’s truly an honor and privilege to do this job. And fun. Did I mention fun. All of you who traveled with me this year know WE HAD A BLAST. I think everyone will agree there is no better learning experience than to tour the actual places where history occurred and continues to evolve.
I am already looking forward to the 2013 season as we get ready to gear up with students returning to school over the next few weeks. We have many trips already planned and some exciting new destination opportunities available. It’s also exciting to have our new website and this blog available for my teachers, chaperones and students. I will be doing occasional From the Road posts to share our travels. Hopefully, you may even see guest columns from some of the teachers and students on my tours.
Here’s to seeing you on my bus or plane in 2013.
