Well we’ve come to the end of another tour season.  What a great way to close out.  I’m here with 9 buses from Jacksonville.  The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are absolutely good people to travel with.  The work that they do all year with the students is nothing short of amazing.

It was hot there that week.  The officers on the buses kept the kids well hydrated.  Any small issues and the Paramedics were on top of them.

We were right outside of the Supreme Court Building on the morning that the decision on DOMA was announced.   The crowd was chanting USA..USA..USA.  I’ve never experienced anything like that before.  It was electrifying to be right there on First St at 10am.

I met with a friend who works inside the Capitol Building and he was good enough to take some of us inside for a special tour.  We were able to gain access to some of the rooms not available to the general public.  It was all very first class.

I’ll be glad to get off of the road.  However, when October rolls around I know that I’ll be looking for somewhere to go.  Adios.
