Traveling with Carver Middle School from Leesburg, Fl was great. The first day was a misty rain but nothing that stopped us from touring. The next days we caught the best weather. The temps in the mornings were in the mid 40’s and reached the high 60’s by the afternoon. Bright sunshine came with those temps. That makes great touring weather. They were doing some repair work at the JFK Memorial when we got there and the Eternal Flame was moved to the side. Everything was visible though.
The town was crowded as usual this time of year but we moved through without a problem and were able to stay one step ahead of the masses everywhere we went. That was a pleasant experience. What a great group of 8th graders.
