Phil Royal Legacy Benefits Safety Patrol Student Tour

$26,000+ Donation For Trip To DC

Phil Royal Legacy Check Presentation For Safety Patrol Student Tour to Washington, DC

The Phil Royal Legacy has once again come through in a big way for the Citrus County Safety Patrol Program. April Royal (center holding daughter in photo), who manages the Legacy in honor of her late husband who was a longtime local law enforcement officer, presented a check for $26,379 that will partially fund 34 members of the safety patrol on its June trip to Washington, DC with Educational Tours. Each student also receives $50 spending cash for the tour.

“The donation also includes a 2019 Phil Royal Legacy T-shirt for all 489 people going on the trip,” said Tom Doyle of Educational Tours who works with Citrus County Sheriff’s Office to coordinate the tour. “Citrus Safety Patrol travels on 10 buses and is one of the largest groups traveling to Washington, DC with us again this year thanks in a big way to the Legacy donation.”

According to its website, the Phil Royal Legacy was established to nurture the community by promoting Phil’s vision of treating everyone with dignity and respect building relationships with kids, elders and everyone in between.
