How To Find Special Services For Educational Tours
Most everything a student or parent needs when traveling on a class trip with Educational Tours is included. However, we understand some travelers may have special needs that require additional items or want to add other services or support.
Here are some of the most common special services requested by student travelers:
Trip & Interruption Insurance
Our trip fees are refundable subject to restrictions found in the travel participation agreement. Parents may obtain private trip & interruption insurance for more protection against unforeseen occurrences. Educational Tours can assist a class with finding private insurance companies that specialize in trip and travel interruption insurance. Please contact your teacher/sponsor if interested.
Disabled Travelers
Needs of disabled students are usually accommodated with standard handicap accessible transportation and lodging as all facilities arranged by Educational Tours are required to meet ADA standards. A trip sponsor will typically notify their Educational Tours representative of any potential disabled participants. Parents of student travelers with special needs should contact their sponsor to discuss any particular requirements. The sponsor will in turn review with Educational Tours and a representative will follow up with the parent as needed to assist with requests.
Other Needs
Have a different special need for a participating traveler? Discuss special needs with your class trip sponsor before signing up. He or she can help to answer your questions or get more information as needed from Educational Tours.
